Reports To: Executive Director

Bat Conservation International (BCI), whose mission is to conserve the world’s bats and their habitats to ensure a healthy planet, is seeking a Board Liaison to provide administrative and project support for work related to the BCI Board of Directors and accompanying Committees, as well as to the Executive Director and senior management team as needed. 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and attend Board of Director tri-annual meetings.
  • Coordinate and attend Board Committee meetings and support preparation of accompanying materials.
  • Maintain calendar of all board meetings and activities and ensure meetings have proper preparation, support, and documentation.
  • Organize and compile Board Manual, including printing and delivery to board members.
  • Update and maintain Board bylaws and committee charters.
  • Support and facilitate new board member onboarding.
  • Record and circulate meeting minutes for Board of Director/Board Committee meetings and maintain organized records.
  • Support the Executive Director and senior management team in tracking and responding to specific Board requests for information.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with meeting and event planning.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook, and Zoom meetings or similar platforms.

Pay Rate: $25 per hour (no overtime)

Location: Executive Director is based in Washington D.C., but other locations are negotiable.
